Synopsis: CensorNet .deb packages for Ubuntu 8 (Hardy)
You have installed Ubuntu Server 8.04 (http://releases.ubuntu.com/hardy/ubuntu-8.04.3-server-i386.iso) and you would like to install the CensorNet software as a package. To do this:
1. You will need to login to the Ubuntu Server at the command line and type:-
sudo nano /etc/apt/sources.list2. At the very bottom, add the line: deb http://apt.censornet.com hardy non-free3. Use Ctrl+X followed by Y to save and exit. 4. Now you must update the Debian package manager, type: sudo apt-get update5. Now you can install CensorNet Pro, type: sudo apt-get install censornetFollow the prompts and accept any questions with the default answer. If you see any dialog boxes with blue screen backgrounds just press ENTER to continue. You should now continue to follow the instructions in the Installation Guide and Getting Started Guide. -- TimLloyd - 26 Aug 2009 |
